Pendanaan

Karena hibah awalnya habis kontraknya pada awal 2014, pada tanggal 12 September 2013, SciShow bergabung dengan situs dana penonton Subbable yang ikut dirintis oleh Green.^[10] Crash Course juga disebut ketika Green membahas Subbable.^[11]

Pembawa acara

Kontroversi

SciShow sempat dihujani kritik karena dianggap bias terhadap benih rekayasa genetik dan biologi sintetis. Kontroversi ini muncul dari sebuah video bertopik benih rekayasa genetik yang mengutip penelitian palsu yang mengaitkan jagung rekayasa genetik dengan kanker pada tikus percobaan. Green juga sebelumnya membuat video yang agak kritis terhadap biologi sintetis. Green dan Sci Show pernah dikritik oleh YouTuber lain atas bias ini.^[12] Menanggapi kontroversi ini, Hank Green menghapus video tersebut dari saluran Scishow.^{[butuh rujukan]}
