Morrissey

Steven Patrick Morrissey (lahir 22 Mei 1959) adalah seorang penyanyi dan pencipta lagu berkebangsaan Inggris. Dia merupakan vokalis dari grup musik The Smiths. Dia berkarier di dunia musik sejak tahun 1982. Setelah The Smiths bubar pada tahun 1987, Morrissey tetap melanjutkan karier di dunia musik sebagai solois. Karya musik Morrissey memiliki dampak positif terhadap pergerakan musik di berbagai negara, bahkan majalah musik NME menyebutkan Morrissey sebagai salah satu seniman yang paling berpengaruh sepanjang masa. Di Indonesia sendiri, banyak sekali band atau group musik yang terinspirasi dari karya musik The Smiths ataupun Morrissey seperti Pure Saturday.^[1][2]

Kehidupan Pribadi

Morrissey hingga hari ini tidak menikah. Ia dikenal sebagai seorang Katolik Irlandia abangan.

Ketika dirinya dan bandnya, The Smiths, menjadi inspirasi salah satu episode The Simpsons, Ia menuliskan kekecewaan serta kemarahannya di akun sosial media miliknya.
