Rattle and Hum on irlantilaisen rock-yhtye U2:n kuudes studioalbumi. Se on osittain myös livealbumi, sillä se sisältää myös yhtyeen vuoden 1987 kiertueella äänitettyjä live-kappaleita. Albumin on tuottanut Jimmy Iovine, ja sen julkaisi Island Records 10. lokakuuta 1988. Albumi seurasi erittäin menestyksekästä The Joshua Tree -albumia, ja se on musiikilliselta tyyliltään jatkoa The Joshua Treen aloittamalle amerikkalaiseen musiikkiin keskittyvälle teemalle. Albumilla on läsnä yhä enemmän vaikutteita blues rockista, folk rockista ja gospel-musiikista. Rattle and Hum on taltioitu myös konserttielokuvaksi.

Albumin tarkoituksena oli esittää U2 osoittamassa kunnioitustaan rockin legendoille, minkä vuoksi se sai osakseen myös kritiikkiä. Huolimatta albumin ja elokuvan ristiriitaisesta vastaanotosta Rattle and Hum myi kansainvälisesti yli 14 miljoonaa kappaletta ja nousi listaykköseksi monissa maissa. Albumin ensimmäinen single ”Desire” oli U2:n ensimmäinen listaykkönen Britannian singlelistalla, ja Yhdysvalloissa se oli Billboard Hot 100 -listan kolmas. Rattle and Humin osakseen saama arvostelu kuitenkin vaikutti yhtyeen uraan siinä määrin, että seuraava albumi Achtung Baby oli musiikillisesti täysin uudenlainen U2-albumi.

Albumi sisältää kaksi lainakappaletta: The Beatlesin "Helter Skelter" ja Bob Dylanin "All Along the Watchtower". Muut kappaleet paitsi "Van Diemen´s Land" ovat yhtyeen laulaja Bonon sanoittamia. "Van Diemen`s Land" on yhtyeen kitaristin The Edgen sanoittama ja laulama. Albumilla vierailee myös blueskitaristi B. B. King kappaleessa "When Love Comes to Town".
