El Premio Pulitzer para la presentación de informes explicativos se ha presentado desde 1998, como un ejemplo distinguido de presentación de informes explicativos que ilumina un tema significativo y complejo, demostrando dominio del tema, escritura lúcida y presentación clara. De 1985 a 1997, fue conocido como el Premio Pulitzer de Periodismo Explicativo.
