East Pakenham railway station is a railway station under construction in Pakenham, Victoria. Announced in 2020, the station is scheduled for opening on 3 June 2024 alongside a rebuilt Pakenham railway station, and will be built as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project.[3][4][5][6]

Until mid-2023, the state government referred to the station as Pakenham East railway station. The name "East Pakenham" was confirmed in a new train map published by Public Transport Victoria in May 2023; the reason for it to be named "East Pakenham" station as to not be confused with the nearby Pakenham East depot.[7][8][better source needed]

History

On 3 June 2024, East Pakenham station will open to passengers along with the rebuilt rail-over-road Pakenham station.[9][10][11][12]
