DreamQuil is an upcoming American psychological thriller film starring John C. Reilly and Elizabeth Banks and co-written, produced and directed by Alex Prager in her feature length debut.

In the near future, a wife is replaced by an AI version of herself when she attends a wellness retreat.[2]

  • John C. Reilly as Gary
  • Elizabeth Banks as Carol
  • Juliette Lewis
  • Kathryn Newton
  • Sofia Boutella

Production

Vincent Landay is producer in the film alongside Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Alison Small for Brownstone Productions. The film will also mark Alex Prager’s feature debut, who co-wrote the script with her sister Vanessa.[3]

Filming was delayed by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.[4] In May 2024, Republic Pictures pre-emptively acquired North American distribution rights to the film, with financier HanWay Films handling international sales. Principal photography has since commenced in Los Angeles.[5] Juliette Lewis, Kathryn Newton, and Sofia Boutella joined the cast.[6]
